Mahmudullah takes Tigers to 156-5

Middle-order batsman Mahmudullah hit an unbeaten 49 facing just 29 balls as Bangladesh recovered from a poor start to post a respectable 156-5 against Australia in Bangalore on Monday.
The Tigers, who were without inspirational Tamim Iqbal, were in danger of getting dismissed cheaply after losing Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir Rahman for just 25 runs in little over five overs.
Mohammad Mithun lifted the morale of the side with some quick runs before he perished with 23 off 22 balls.
Sakib al Hasan looked in good touch before he also departed for 33 runs having faced 25 balls.
Australia struck regularly through leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who finished with 3-23, whenever a partnership seemed developing.
Mahmudullah gave the innings a respectability with some  late hitting as he shared  51 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim ( 15 not out) in sixth wicket stand.
Bangladesh, who are already two key bowlers Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed, suffered a further blow as in form opener Tamim was ruled out of the game due to viral disease.
All-rounder Shuvagata Hom, uncapped Saqlain Sajib and Mustafizur Rahman replaced Tamim, Taskin and Sunny.
Bangladesh must win the game after losing their first match of the Super-10 to Pakistan by 55 runs.
