A Rangamati court on Tuesday sent four people, including a suspected
leader of Myanmar insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’, to jail again in three
separate cases filed with Rajasthali Police Station.
Rangamati District and Session Judge Mohammad Kawser passed the order
rejecting the bail petitions filed by their lawyers, UNB reports.
The four arrested people -- Renin Suye, a suspected leader of Myanmar
insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’ and Ong U Yang Rakhain, Jo Su Aung Marma
and Mong Aang Marma -- were produced before the court during the
hearing.
The court also fixed May 4 for the next hearing of the case.
On August 26, 2015, a team of army and police personnel conducted a
joint drive in Kainda union of Rajasthali upazila on a tip-off and
arrested Ong U Yang Rakhain, Jo Su Aung Marma and Mong Aang Marma.
On October 14, 2015, joint forces arrested Renin Suye from Islampur area in Rajasthali.
Three separate cases were filed against them with Rajasthali Police
Station allegedly for their illegal entry, trafficking foreign
currencies and terrorist activities.
